Designing the "Antagonist" of the game - 11/27/2023
Grim Character Concept
Introducing, The Grim Reaper! (Or at least my version of the personification of death).
Zoe is stuck between life and death and the little Grim must finish her job.
Zoe does not know what happened to her and at first flees in terror of the strange being.
Design feature I plan to add in the future:
The skull she wears as a brooch also turns into a mask and she will also wear a cloak with a hood
This will be how the player is first introduced to Grim
She will also need a scythe - no grim reaper design is fully complete without one!

Project Z Development Begins! - 11/25/2023
Zoe Character Concept
The start of working on my own indie game! Wish me luck!
The idea came from a previous game jam project that I took part in and I've always wanted to pursue this project further.
By referencing the character I designed from the game jam project, I created a new design more suited to my current style, while still paying homage to the original design.
A character concept sheet is not complete without expressions! I drew a few to help convey Zoe's personality. Whether I'll be able to add these or even others to the game will just have to be a future Ashley problem. Hello future me!
I know I have a lot more to do as this is only the start of the game design process but I'm excited to start this new journey and can't wait to see what I'll learn along the way.
